So far, I made it clear that my Morrowind is not vanilla by mentioning a couple mods, Von Slave Market (dependant on Fligg's Slave Mod) and Tel Magus. I started using the slave mod so that I could do things like rehouse Baadargo to the shack, and when I started connecting dots in search of coincidences that support my Thalmor-in-Morrowind theory (which began, of course, with Indoranyon) I realised Von's location made too much sense. Indoranyon is unique in Morrowind vanilla; it is the only all-Altmer dungeon. It is also the only place in the game where you find generics named Worshipper, while in Oblivion and Skyrim, seems like there are plenty of folks named Bandit Bowman or Highwayman. And then I read this part of a webcomic. The girl whose hair was green and is white, is called Raine, but her name is actually Sehl. She called herself Raine while visiting Earth. What has been done to her, the webcomic describes as 'being faded.' It's barbaric, and I decided the Thalmor would do that. In vanilla Morrowind, Ciralinde is offered as a slave for sale, and one can be informed that she is a convicted criminal. But if you buy her, she will follow you around and attack things til she dies. Cross this with ideas from "The Horror of Castle Xyr," and I decided that it fit with Von, possibly other slaves. Keep following the webcomic, and Jack will go talk to Raine, to discover that she remembers him, but her personality has been surpressed. She would rather go do the laundry than talk to him, because that's what she was told to do.

I wonder, come to think of it. Is this the place for discussion on mods used in a fanfic, should that be in the fanfiction feedback subforum, or should fanfic mods be its own subforum, or how is it? If this thread gets moved, I shall accept that action as answer.

This thread is fine where it is.

...I guess it's a moot point. I know thread necromancy is frowned upon, but in this case, the fact that it's exactly that is my point (so it's technically not really thread necromancy?) I think I'm the only person here interested in such a discussion.

That really isn't a problem here. I've never really understood why so many people on other forums get bent out of shape about that.

That really isn't a problem here. ...In "The Left Hand of Darkness," the main character Bespeaks to another. (Telepathy, rebranded?) When asked why he had done so, Genry Ai (main char) says he wanted to light up what he felt was a dark space between their minds. I forget the exact words of most of the conversation; it's been over 2 decades since I read this book, but I remember the idea. Instead of lighting up the metaphorical space, it was too dim. All it did was show how much darkness there was.
I am used to having to adapt, and for once, I didn't have to and did anyway.
I am relieved!
