I know I kind of dropped off the face of the earth a few months ago. I hope I didn't overly worry anyone given everything that's been going on. It wasn't anything serious. I just lost my login information and have only just now managed to recall it.
The past few months have been spent dealing with a lot of medical issues, though thankfully no COVID infections. The doctors detected fat in my liver and put me on a strict really diet and exercise program, lost 50 pounds, and am still on it looking to drop another 30. I'm pretty proud of having managed it, but losing the weight that fast worried the doctors. They scheduled me to go in for a CT scan to see if there was something wrong, but a couple days before that was scheduled, I had a gal bladder attack and had to be rushed to the ER. They took it out in an emergency surgery. That's healed up okay with no lingering side effects.
Meanwhile, I've been talking to a psychiatrist about some stress, anxiety, and ahedonia I've been dealing with for a couple years now, basically since that bad bout of anemia that kicked off these medical issues (or at least forced me to start dealing with them). Things are still in the diagnosis stage there, but just being able to talk about and work through what I'm feeling has been a little help. I'm feeling like properly writing again, so that's a positive sign.
I hope you've all been staying safe.

It occurs to me it's been a while since I gave an update.
I managed to lose the rest of the weight I was looking to drop, and have kept it off for the last few months without the strict diet and monitoring I'd needed to do to get it off in the first place. Apparently, the habits I developed dropping it stuck and are serving me well in maintaining, at least so far.
After months of work with the psychiatrist, I finally got a proper diagnosis. Apparently, I've got ADHD, primarily inattentive type. Looking back, it makes a lot of sense and explains so much. Now is the struggle to sort out medication options, but just knowing what's been going on and why I've been struggling in the areas I am has been a huge relief.

I was wondering how you were doing, especially since it seems like we've all been hit with things along with the current covid mess over this past year and the start of this year.
Thanks for the update and congrats on taking off the weight you wanted to lose.
