Poor kid felt bad about fighting and killing the Heartwrights, wasn't too sure if that was the right thing to do. I had to tell her that she was doing just fine, don't worry about it. She really likes these guys 
She's doing a heck of a lot better than a lot of people from what I've read from various posts. She's getting ebony bars for the Daedric Forge now, although I think she needs to find more Ascended Sleepers souls for Gilvoth. |

She does understand that they're just as immortal as she is, right? I could've sworn the whole "we don't really die" thing is mentioned in the challenge dialogue somewhere.
On the other hand, I've gotten some messages asking what was up when Dagoth Ur told them to go speak to Tureynul for the Moon and Star quest, baffled because they'd already killed Tureynul.

I think she understands now, lol. I think the whole Heart thing threw her for a bit. She wasn't too wild about having to harvest 50 Ascended Sleeper souls; she's still learning House Dagoth philosophy- these Ascended Sleepers are happy to sacrifice their souls to their cause, and the Dagoths repect strength, honor, and carrying out the tasks efficiently, etc.
I'd say that these Dagoths have been brought to life so well through character that she cares about what she's doing with them.
It's funny because her character is supposed to be this evil little Breton necromancer who doesn't care about killing her opponents, but now she's found a House that she can respect.
She's really enjoying GHD. |

She's doing a heck of a lot better than a lot of people from what I've read from various posts. To be honest a lot of the questions I've received from people who have read my fic and decided to try GHD puzzle me. I've played through it four times with a heavily modded game and have never experienced bugs or glitches. And some things in the dialog that I thought were crystal clear (such as the other Heartwights being just as immortal as the player) tend to confuse people. My personal theory based on the questions I've been asked is that a lot of players don't seem to get out of the "vanilla main quest" mindset. It doesn't seem to enter their minds that they and the other Dagoths are now the same sort of being. I've heard from quite a few people who are stunned that they can't free the Heart the vanilla way and assume that there is a bug that is killing them rather than the fact that they are a Heartwight and bound to the Heart just like the other Dagoths. |

I think she was coming from a vanilla mindset in the way that Vivec and the others say a lot of things that are symbolic, and didn't understand that when they told her that they could not be killed, they were being literal and matter of fact.; that they will return whole and healthy as ever.
That's probably what is confusing a lot of people. But I think that's part of the challenge, to throw off the verbal haze that the cult of the Tribunal has over everyone and challenge that kind of mindset and accept a new mindset.
But destroying the Heart? That's a special kind of dumb. Probably it's these people who want to be "lore correct" at any cost and don't understand the consequences and that GHD holds lore that was potentially and possibly should have been there, but was never given simply due to game limitations. |
