You all know the vampire quest in Ald-ruhn, the one to convince the son that he doesn't really want to be a vampire?
After all these years, I have never heard of a mod where you instead embrace the son, or even better, convince the mom that SHE wants to become a vampire.
Or both: 'Boy, you're not strong enough to be a vampire. Your mother, by contrast...'
This could have interesting consequences.
Especially for Redoran.

I use Vampire Embrace that lets you turn anyone you like into a vampire. He's always on my list of people I choose to turn. Sometimes I do it after completing the quest, sometimes I do so instead of completing that quest.

See, I want to alter the quest itself. And not vamp him, but vamp his mom. Because he whines and she takes control - or tries. Makes her more likely to survive as a vampire.

Bump.
What I want to do is add unique dialogue to this quest.
What I would do, in detail:
after you select "submit myself," in dialogue with the son, there is a third option in the first set of response dialogue: "No."
If you click it, you get a journal entry: "The boy is weak, and would be useless as a childe. His mother is a different matter."
And then you go back to the mother, select "convince my son" and get two choices of response dialogue: "The best way to convince him is to become a vampire." Selecting this option is meant to be mechanically much like the embrace of a willing NPC in Vampire Embrace. "You are getting sleepy." This option is meant to function more like VE's "victim" path to vampirism.
Either way, a mod-specific variable is toggled. Let's call it FathasaVamped. Was 0, is now 1.
Once tripped, go back to the son and select "submit myself" in dialogue. This tells him that his mother is now a vampire, and he is her thrall.
A few days later, return to the house. If you selected the first option, the door to his room is locked. If you enter the room, his furniture is gone but a bucket has appeared, and he is wearing nothing but his same old black trousers. He has become his mother's cattle. Talking to him reveals a great disposition drop (but he doesn't want to fight at all). "She doesn't talk to me. She just comes and feeds on me."
If you made her a vampire against her will, however, the son is wearing expensive clothes and is glad to see you. There is a new trapdoor in his floor. "She needs me for so much, now! She sent me to Tel Aruhn for slaves, and when I got back, she'd dug this room to keep them in!" Sure enough, the basement is full of nameless cattle, mostly Argonians. (Would you want fur in your food?) He has more self-confidence, and when you then go see his mother, she's decided you did her a favour - and you get the ring you would have gotten as the original quest reward.
