Now I know what my cats do when I'm not home

Because the RV goes through a lot of gas we typically travel by car when we make our annual trip to visit my parents. That would make for an uncomfortable trip for the cats, so they stay home. Since we are only away for a little over a week we set out a couple of sets of automatic feeders and waterers for them. They are quite content with that rather than traveling for two days in a hot car.
While we are away I often wonder what my cats are doing. Well, I think I figured out what the older cat has been up to.
It appears that Belle not only figured out how to turn on the TV, but also figured out how to change channels. I'm not kidding. Since we've come home there have been times when I have heard the TV come on and when I went to the living room Belle was there on the couch watching TV.
Last night we watched a documentary about the Civil War on PBS and the TV was still on the PBS channel when it was turned off for the night.
When we came back from getting the groceries this morning the TV was on and turned to one of the morning shows on CBS. Belle was on the couch watching the show.
So....not only does one of my cats know how to turn on the TV, she knows how to switch it to a different channel. And then she sprawls out on the couch and watches the program.
I'm not making this up.
