As most of you already know, my father recently had to have bypass surgery. He survived the procedure, but it's going to be weeks before he fully recovers. On top of all this my mother, who had her own serious health issues and is on oxygen due to a blood clot that got into her left lung, is unable to drive. They need help with things like driving my mother to the grocery store, going into the hospital to visit my father, etc. So...I am going to be catching a plane tomorrow afternoon and flying to my home state and will be there for two, maybe three weeks.
I'm certain that I will be able to use their computer to check in here and say hello to everyone occasionally, but I won't be able to be involved in any role-playing until I get home.
As far as the running of the forum goes, most of you have been here since day one and you know how things work. I don't have any instructions.
I'll check in when I can.

Hi, folks. I'm still at my parents' home. My father is finally out of intensive care and was moved last night to a facility that specializes in physical therapy. The place is an hour drive away and since my mother is on oxygen 24/7 we're not going to be able to go to visit every day (she uses up too many oxygen tanks during the trip). If my father continues to regain his strength he should be able to come home in about two weeks. Even after he's home I'll continue to hang around here a while longer until everything settles down. I should be able to return to my own home either by the end of this month or at the beginning of June. Now I'm going to read the Skyrim threads and see what your Dwemer characters have been up to. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I was pleased to see that Yagrum has joined us. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Hope everything is going well, and your parents are doing well.
Still praying for you all ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)
I was looking for some sort of decent pic of Yagrum, but realized it would be best to make him in the Skyrim chargen.

Thank you for the update. The people at my room mate's spiritual group were just asking about him yesterday, so I let my room mate know this news. So glad to hear it. I'll continue praying and sending positive energy!

Please continue to pray for my father. He's not doing well.
This morning he had to have a transfusion due to being anemic and his lungs are not functioning as they should. He tried to speak while my mother, uncle, and I were visiting him, but he's very hard to understand due to the oxygen mask he has to wear.
I tried my best to understand what he was saying. While holding his hand, I leaned down and had my ear almost right against the oxygen mask, but could only catch a word here or there.
The doctor did not mince words; if my dad does not improve they could loose him. Right now all we can do is take one day at a time and hope that he starts to rally and regain his strength.
I managed to hold it together while I was at his bedside, but when I came back to my parents' home I sat down and cried. It's so heartbreaking seeing my dad this way.

Thank you. I do believe that no matter what each person's personal faith is, prayers and positive thinking make a difference.
They certainly can't hurt.

I pray for your dad often, and will continue to do so *big hugs*
tomorrow my room mate will go and visit with her friends at the Vedic spiritual group. I'll ask them if they'll pray more for him, and let them know his condition.

Hi, folks. I'm still at my parents' home (and will likely be here for a few more weeks). There hasn't really been much of a change. My father still thinks he's not going to make it and we're trying to convince him otherwise.
I'm able to take a break this afternoon so I wanted to once again stop by, check in, and see what your Dwemers have been up to.

*HUGS* to you and your family, and prayers.
Post op I understand feels terrible because your body is healing deep tissue trauma. Lots of sympathy for your dad, and we will keep him in our prayers that his spirit will rally and he will feel better in the days ahead and his body heals more.

I know I don't count for much in the cosmic sense, but I am being positive for him, and keeping him in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi again, folks. I don't really have anything new to report. My father is still having fluid drained from his lungs. He's hanging in there but has not really improved.
Right now my mother is taking a much needed nap. Her doctor gave her something to calm her nerves and it ended up making her quite sleepy. It's just as well, though. She was so stressed that I was beginning to wonder if both of my parents were going to end up in the hospital.
